Our second committee is UNEP which is a beginner-level committee. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) is the leading global authority on the environment. UNEP's mission is to inspire, inform and enable nations and peoples to create a more sustainable environment for future generations by improving the quality of life for themselves and the environment. Although South America has a magnificent ecosystem and biodiversity, wildlife is under serious threat due to the increase in illegal activity in the region in recent years. The teeth, bones and often the fur of local animals are the biggest targets of this threat. This committee aims to discuss and resolve illegal animal trafficking in South America, especially in the amazon region, and its impact on the geography of the region.
